not bad...

I read this after Shadow of Oz. It was a nice backstory of the Tin Man. I just wish there was more! Literally half of the ebook was a "sneak peek" of Shadow of Oz. That was kind of disappointing.

A very short story

It probably should be 3 and a half stars! I gave it the benefit of the doubt and said 4. I felt it should have been more. Not just reference his first meeting Dorothy, more examples of his interaction with all the characters (Lion, Scarecrow, Oz and the other witch). We now know how he became the Tin Man but there was so much more after that. I felt there should have been more about him.

Good book, but don't be fooled by its length: most of the book is the first chapter of its sequel, Shadow of Oz, also an excellent book. I actually read Shadow of Oz before Tin Man of Oz. Shadow of Oz came out first, despite its being the sequel.
